        Once upon time, there was a tall, strong and patriotic young man, called Sit, voluntarily enrolled in the Army in China. He was sent to fight with the enemies in the Southern province.
            The General-In-Charge was Chiang. He was a cunning (licik)  and sly (lihai)  man who would not hesitate to exploit even his own soldiers. He knew Sit’s combat skill was extremely good but purposely put him in a non-combative post as a cook. When it came to battle, General Chiang would send Sit to engage  (face) the toughest enemies. PARIS (Reuters): Lance Amstrong’s Discovery Channel Team won the team time trial of the Tour de France on Tuesday, giving the six-time champion the over all race lead. JAKARTA : Monday’s tsunami along the southern coast of Java has caused devastating losses that are still being counted. Traumatized survivors, many camped out in the hills that far from the shore line, are living in fear that another earthquake would trigger another wave of destruction.
       The earthquake which triggered a tsunami wiped out the beach resorts and fishing villages along the southern coast of Java. The meteorology and geophysics agency (BMG) said that the Wednesday’s earthquake measured 6.2 on the Richter Scale.
       Its epicenter was 48 kilometers below the sea level. BMG official, Weni, said that the areas on the west coast of West Java and Banten, as well as those in the south coast of Lampung, were at risk of being hit by tsunami. However, the possibility of a tsunami was quickly discounted by other agencies.

Malin Kundang
An old woman and her son lived in a little village. Her son was called Malin Kundang. They were very poor but they loved each other very much.
One day Malin Kundang told his mother that he would go to town and worked there. At first his mother did not allow him but finally she let him to go with tears.
Malin Kundang worked hard in a big town and in a short time he became a rich man. However he completely forgot his poor old mother.

The Prambanan Temple

Terrorist recaptured after 10-day hunt
        MAKASSAR: South Sulawesi Police on Tuesday arrested the terrorist convicted for his involvement in the 2002 bombing of a McDonald’s outlet in Makassar.
        Gowa Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Raden Purwadi said after a 10-day hunt police caught Wirahadi, 25, in the Tassese sub district in Manuju district, Gowa regency in South Sulawesi. Wirahadi had escaped from Gunungsari jail in Makassar.
        “We received information from locals today at noon,” Raden said.
        He said the new resident who had no identity papers had raised suspicions. Wirahadi was sentenced to 19 years for the bombing, which killed two people and injured dozens of others.
