How to Avoid Cancer
Cancer is very dangerous disease, which can affect humans, animals and plants. According to the American Cancer Society, 7,6 million people died from cancer in the world during 2007. Many researchers think that the risk of cancer can be minimized. On the other hand, there are some opinions that it cannot be minimized.
Research carried out by Harvard University showed one third of the seven million cancer deaths in the world could have been avoided if the victims had eaten sufficient fruit and vegetables, refrained from smoking, consumed less salt, sugar and oil, done more exercises, cut down on red meat consumption and watched their weight.Overindulgence in unhealthy habits is the key factor for cancers.                                                                                                                                               7
However, some doctors say cancer is a multi-factor disease. It's a combination of environmental factor and family history. There is no clear definition to pinpoint the exact risk factor. There is no guarantee that a person who rigidly follows good health procedure will not suffer from cancer or vice versa.
This is a very subjective issue. Therefore, people who totally ignore the healthy lifestyle are advised to give up or at least reduce their unhealthy habits before it's too late. Following a healthy lifestyle by occasionally eating less red meat, deep fried food or ice cream is not going to hurt them. To prevent is better than to cure, so go for a clinical check up regularly. Consult a doctor immediately. If cancer is detected earlier, there will be a better chance of cure.

a.       Those who follow a good lifestyle will not suffer from cancer.
b.      Cancer is a multi-factor disease, and there is no guarantee that people who have a good lifestyle will avoid this disease.
c.       Harvard University says cancer is a family-related disease.
d.      The impression that people who smoke and drink outlive people who don't.
e.       Too much smoking is bad for health.

40. What are the three factors that contribute the risk of cancer ?
a.       Fruit, meat and alcohol.                    d.  Deep fried food, red meat and exercise.
b.      Salt, fish and smoking.                     e.  Ice cream, oil and apples.

National exam becomes the hot topic in most of discussions. Though the supreme Court has  rejected an appeal by the government on the organization of the national exam, the controversy over whether it is necessary to maintain the national exam (UN) has continued. Some debates include the primary questions such as : Does the quality of the Indonesian education system worsen without national exam ?
People, who support the national exam, explain that the quality of the Indonesian education system will drop without the national exam, so they try to defend the current system.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER
Shrek Forever after is a 2010 American animation fantasy-family film. It is also the fourth and final installment in the Shrek film series, despite early development to make a fifthfilm.
Shrek grows tired of his life as well as the fact he feels he isn’t “ a real ogre” anymore. Rumpelstilskin meets Shrek  and offer him a day to feel like a real ogre again, in exchange for day from Shrek’s childhood. Shrek agrees and signs the contract. Rumpelstilskin declares that within 24 hours, Shrek, having been never born, will be completely erased from existance.
Shrek is able to escape from his confinement and rescues Donkey (Eddie Murphy), who worked as a pack mule.Donkey is able to deduce by folding the contract paper that exit clause of Rumpelstilskin’s contract is true love’s first kiss before 24 hours run out. The two stumble upon a secret community of warrior ogres led by Fiona, who dismisses Shrek’s attempt to reconsile with her. Shrek’s also find Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) now Fiona’s pet who has retired from swordmanship and is now obese.
Shrek and Fiona defeat Rumpelstilskin but the 24 hours have already passed for Shrek, who begins to fade into thin air. Just before he does so,Fiona kisses Shrek, now truly in love with him, and break Rumpelstilskin’s contract and her curse. The alternate reality falls apart and the true timeline is restored with Sherk roaring in his frustration back at the birthday party. After Shrek embraces Fiona again and thanks her for saving him from his old life alone in the swamp, they and all their family and friends including the ogre army, celeberate the ogre babies’ first birthday in a larger party which includes Rumpelstilskin, now held prisoner and tormented by the piper.
My opinion about the film, this is the best Sherk of all them and that’s no fairy tale. It is hilarious and heartfelt  from start to finish. Everyone involved fulfills his or her job requirements adequately. That’s why, seeing this film is highly recommended.

TO BE WISE, WHY NOT?

My senior advised me that the effective teacher is  a wise teacher. Of course  there is no a guarantee at all that old people  must be wise. As  a junior teacher can be wiser. Studies prove that we can become wiser by cultivating these habits:
 MAINTAINING  YOUR POSITIVE EMOTION
The wise persons calmly consider alternatives, even in crises, and acts upon controllable factors. The shoul be more patient,  and  more careful.
LEARNING  FROM THE PAST
Reflect upon your life and consider the major lessons you've learned. Write them down.
 BEING OPEN TO NEW EXPERIENCES
Broaden your exposure to people of all ages, political orientations, occupations, social classes, and cultures. Listen and gain knowledge from their vast and various experiences.
 CONSIDERING  DIFFERENT  PERSPECTIVES
The next time you're about to disagree with someone, stop and ask questions. Try to understand his or her point of view.
 FOCUSING  ON THE POSITIVE
Don't waste brain resources on negative thoughts--they drain mental energy.
MOVING  FROM THE CENTER OF YOUR UNIVERSE
Younger people are generally egocentric and eager to recite their accomplishments. Older and wiser people tend to speak of the successes of others.
QUESTION CERTAINTY
Any sentence that begins "There is no doubt that..." or "It is an established fact that..." should be viewed skeptically.
BROADENING  YOUR BASE OF "WISDOM KNOWLEDGE"
Thinking lessons from history, philosophy, psychology, literature, or religion.
 GETTING   COMFORTABLE WITH MIXED EMOTIONS
At my daughter's wedding, I was simultaneously happy for her new life and sad she was leaving. There is much ambiguity in life, and the wise accept this.

TRYING TO BE AN EXCELLENT TEACHER

TRYING TO  BE  AN EXCELLENT   TEACHER
How lucky I am. I was given an opportunity to be an English teacher, even though my parent is only as a  manual  worker.
Really I must be grateful. How to show that I belong to a grateful man..Of course I must learn how to be a qualified teacher.
I  am really waiting for the enlightenment of others to improve my teaching quality.
I try to take the advice from my senior. One of my senior advice as follows:
Mas Katno, you are very wonderful and lucky. Teaching is  your regular job. So you must keep promise that you must take this mandate seriously. Teaching is  your life. Teaching is the most wonderful, exciting and rewarding job in the world, but it takes time, skill and dedication to do it right.  I just suggest you about many basics designed for the teachers:
Plan your lessons carefully. Start with what you want them to learn, not what you want them to do. Lessons should always have a central learning objective, and any activities you plan should be focused on achieving this aim. So start with, "I want the children to learn that..." and then decide what they will do.
Plan for a variety of learning styles. One simple way to think about this is VAK. You can (very crudely) divide learning styles into three parts: Visual learners who learn by seeing, auditory learners who learn by listening, and kinesthetic learners who make associations by doing something. Have something for everyone in your lesson.
Create a sense of order. Decide upon classroom routines and stick to them. Do you want children to line up outside or come straight in to your classroom? Where should their bags and coats go? Do you want them to stand behind their chairs before they leave? Once you have established the routine, stick to it! Children appreciate this more than you think - especially children with special needs. Autistic spectrum disorder children, the visually impaired, those with behavioral difficulties, will all do better if they know what they are supposed to do.
Use a starter task. Get students used to the idea that there will be a 5 minute task for them to do straight away when they come in to your classroom. Make it fun and stimulating, with a time limit to not let it drag on.
Share your learning objectives with your students. They must be very clear about what you want them to learn. Write the learning objective on the board in child friendly language. Refer to it throughout the lesson and return to it at the end. Learning objectives should be framed in language like: "Our Learning objective is to... discover how, explore, learn, revise, reflect on, think about, discuss, develop..."
Give clear success criteria for tasks. Children want to know exactly what you want them to do, and how they will be assessed! Ideally the success criteria should rise from the learning objectives in the lessons building up to the task - that way there are no surprises. The children should actually be able to work out what the success criteria are! Sometimes it is appropriate to let students nominate their own success criteria.
Use a variety of assessment methods - teacher assessment is great, but don't neglect peer and self assessment.
Give the lesson pace - motivate students and move them on. Put time limits on activities and watch for the "fidget factor". If your students are bored, change the activity type. Switch between learning styles to keep everyone on their toes! Remember that kids like to be challenged - they don't want to be patronized with easy stuff - give them something to get their teeth into.
Praise, praise, praise! Tell the children what they are doing right - praise them for it and try your best to minimize the attention you give to unwanted behaviour. Kids like to know when they are doing what you want.

BERANI UNTUK BERUBAH (EAGER FOR CHANGE)

EAGER FOR CHANGE
How hard  my life was. Really, when I was young  I did not have a chance to be confident. One of the reasons, I did not find a qualified teacher to educate and lead  me to be  more confident. So I became poor identity and useless.
Even  though  it was only a past, but needed to criticized that our teachers, our lecturers must learn more how to educate people.
Now, I am  a  teacher. I  should be different from my  past teachers. I must be eager to change. YES  WE CAN.
How  should the real teacher behave?
A teacher should  be an experienced and knowledgeable mentor who has the training and wisdom to guide a student along a path of personal discovery. A teacher   should provides a road map to the student  so that he or she can thread their way to  a destination where they achieve richer fuller rewards in their own lives. The value of   the excellent personality has been implanted  to  students. So they feel that everybody must have their own excellence. They should be guided to  appreciate and accept their own strength and weaknesses. Because there is no  a perfect man in the world, however they can be better caused by learning and learning.

Mrs. Streisand was having a lot of trouble with her skin, so she went to her doctor about it. However, the doctor could not find anything wrong with her, so he sent her to the local hospital for some test. The hospital, of course, sent the result of the test direct to Mrs. Streisand’s doctor. The next morning he telephoned her to give her a list of the things that she should not eat.
Mrs. Streisand carefully wrote all the things down on a piece of paper, which she then left beside the telephone while she went out to a ladies’ meeting.
When she got back home two hours later, she found her husband waiting for her. He had a big basket full of packages beside him, and when he saw her, he said, “Hello, sweetheart. I have done all your shopping for you.”
“Done all my shopping?” she asked in surprise. “But how did you know what I wanted?”
“Well, when I got home, I found your shopping list beside the telephone,” answered her husband, “so I went down to the shops and bought everything you had written down.”
Of course. Mrs. Streisand had to tell him that he had bought all the things the doctor did not allow her to eat.

Fixing the Headstone
Once, there were two men walking home after a Halloween party. They decided to take a shortcut through the cemetery just for laughs. Right in the middle of the cemetery they were startled by a tap-tap-tapping noise coming from the misty shadows.
Trembling with fear, they found an old man with a hammer and chisel, chipping away at one of the headstones.
“Holy cow, Mister,” one of them said after catching his breath, “You scared us half to death, we thought you were a ghost! What are you doing working here so late at night?”
